The EvenGlow ™️Method Facial - What is involved.

Let’s talk about pigmentation

The color of your skin is determined by melanin, a natural pigment produced by specialized skin cells called melanocytes. The color of your skin is determined by melanin, a natural pigment produced by specialized skin cells called melanocytes.

When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it responds by producing more melanin to protect deeper layers from harmful UV rays. This increase in melanin, which often appears as a tan, is your body’s way of shielding itself. While melanin absorbs and disperses some UV radiation, prolonged or intense sun exposure can overwhelm this defense, potentially leading to pigmentation issues like sunspots or uneven skin tone

As a result, certain areas of the skin may produce excess melanin, leading to dark spots, commonly known as sunspots or age spots. These patches are a type of hyperpigmentation. Over time, this can contribute to an uneven skin tone, premature aging, and in some cases, make the skin more sensitive

The Evenglow method can help!

What is involved?

This treatment is multi layered so works to lessen your pigmentation and also acts to inhibit the production of further pigment.

Cleanse - Like all facials, the EvenGlow™ facial starts with a double cleanse using products that are suitable for your skin type.

Chemical Peel - next is the chemical peel. We choose a peel that targets pigmentation and is correct for your skin and your concerns. Over the course of your treatments, and when you skin is ready, we progress to a stronger and more targeted peel. This is usually a Mandelic Peel. Mandelic acid is an alphahydroxy acid with larger molecules than other peels. This means there is less irritation and more appropriate for sensitive skin or just starting on a ‘peeling’ journey. This peel will not only breakdown the pigmentation but also stimulates collagen and elastin production, promoting skin rejuvenation.

Mask - We then apply a alginate mask. Alginate masks are an ideal post-peel treatment because they provide cooling, hydrating, and soothing benefits that help the skin recover comfortably. We customise this stage of the treatment to treat your pigmentation and any other skin concerns you may have. While this mask is doing it’s magic you will enjoy a neck and decolletage massage.

LED Therapy - LED light therapy follows and is an excellent treatment after a chemical peel because it aids in healing, soothes irritation, and enhances results. By reducing inflammation and supporting cellular turnover, LED treatments help prolong and even amplify the results of the peel.

Product infusion - The next step is where this treatment really stands out. We use Sonophoresis to infuse an ampoule of pharmaceutical grade active brightening agents and anti-oxidants. Sonophoresis skin infusion uses sound waves (ultrasound) to infuse a serum which is personally selected for you. The serum is packed with vitamins and antioxidants, boosting your skin health. The active ingredients eliminate melanin accumulation in the outer layers of the skin, promotes cell turnover, improves hydration and inhibits melanin synthesis in the cells. In other words it breaks down the pigmentation and stops your skin from making more.

To finish - We finish with a hydrating serum, our Radiance Daily Moisturiser which also will continue to break down and prevent further production of pigmentation...and of course sunscreen!

Your skin will look and feel amazing.
